Noah Found Grace In The Eyes Of The Lord

Author: Apostle Emmanuel Mitchell

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, Today, we are going to explore the story of Noah and how he found grace in the eyes of the Lord. In Genesis chapter 6, we read that God was grieved by the wickedness of humanity and decided to bring a flood upon the earth to destroy every living thing. But God saw something different in Noah, and in verse 8, we read, “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.”
What does it mean to find grace in the eyes of the Lord? It means that God looked upon Noah with favor and chose to extend mercy to him. In this story, we see God’s love and compassion for humanity even in the midst of their sinfulness.
One example of Noah’s faith and obedience is found in Genesis chapter 6, verses 14-16, where God gives him instructions to build an ark to save his family and two of every kind of animal from the coming flood. Noah could have easily dismissed this as a crazy idea or tried to reason with God, but instead, he obeyed God’s commands without hesitation.
Another example of Noah’s faith is found in Hebrews chapter 11, verse 7, which says, “By faith, Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this, he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.” Noah’s faith in God and his willingness to obey, even when it was difficult, allowed him to become an heir of righteousness and be saved from the flood.
So, what can we learn from the story of Noah and his finding grace in the eyes of the Lord? Firstly, we see that God is always willing to extend grace and mercy to us, even in the midst of our sinfulness. God saw something different in Noah and chose to save him from the flood. This shows us that we too can find grace in the eyes of the Lord, if we turn to Him in faith and obedience.
Secondly, we learn that faith and obedience go hand in hand. Noah’s faith in God led him to obey God’s commands and build the ark. Similarly, our faith in God should lead us to obey His commands and follow His ways. As Christians, we are called to live lives of obedience and faithfulness, even when it is difficult or unpopular.
Finally, the story of Noah reminds us that our actions have consequences. Noah’s obedience to God condemned the world, but it also allowed him and his family to be saved. Our actions can also have a profound impact on the world around us, and we should strive to live in a way that honors God and blesses others.

In conclusion, let us remember the story of Noah and how he found grace in the eyes of the Lord. May we also seek to find God’s grace and mercy through faith and obedience, and may we strive to live lives that please Him. Amen.
